Sherry Clark, BA-Ed, RN, CHC
Sherry is an RN as well as a health and lifestyle coach who specializes in food sensitivities, autoimmunity, and gut health. A Wichita native, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Education from Tabor College and enjoyed a career as an educator for 17 years.
Due to several acute health events in her immediate family and her own personal challenges with autoimmunity, Sherry turned her focus to studying paths to health. She returned to school with the goal of becoming a registered nurse, desiring to integrate her nursing experience with natural healing knowledge. After working in a conventional medical setting and seeing the strengths and weaknesses of that model, she sought ways to more effectively help those with lifestyle related autoimmune and other chronic disease.
She interned in a functional medicine practice which specialized in finding the root cause of the patient’s concern, then helped the patient nourish and purify the body so the body and mind can heal. During this time of working closely with the physician and patients, her eyes were opened to the transformative power of food and lifestyle in preventing and reversing chronic conditions.
Sherry earned certification as a health coach from the National Society of Health Coaches and participated in continuing medical education courses from Harvard Medical School and Yale University School of Medicine. She holds certification at the mastery level in the Transformational Coaching Method, which focuses on healing limiting beliefs and habits. Additionally, Sherry is a lifelong learner, continually studying the most current research, especially concerning mind/body health, gut health, food sensitivities, and autoimmunity.
She has three grown sons and lives in Newton, Kansas with her husband Spencer. Her favorite pastimes are spending time with family, traveling and studying foreign culture and language, gardening, and developing healthy recipes..
